Andrew’s eight-year-old daughter is going to Hell. At least, that’s what she tells him one night when she can’t sleep, bringing Andrew’s worst fears to life. He had grown up afraid of Hell, preached about Hell, and left Christianity over Hell. And now, Andrew was struggling to help his daughter feel safe. Then, he finds out that this fear of Hell was instilled in her by his own dad — a fire and brimstone preacher. Just great!
On Earth as it is in Hell follows Andrew’s journey of self-reflection, messy family relationships, and diving into ancient history to convince his daughter that everything will be okay – but with jokes! Along the way, he learns just what the hell it is we believe anyway, and how our actions are often scarier than our beliefs. But again, like, in a (mostly) funny way
